A Linktree alternative without monthly rent

Most bio tools are free until you want a custom domain, less branding, or sales without a cut. On Linktree, selling with no platform fee means Premium — $558 a year. On perma.bio it’s Pro, $35 a year. Draft free, then a locked annual price that doesn’t move.

Evergreen $15 USD/yr · Pro $35 USD/yr · custom domain included · price locked at join

The short version: the thing perma.bio charges $35 a year for — selling from your page with no platform cut — is a $558 a year plan on Linktree. And a plain live page with your own domain is $15 against $120.

Switching takes one paste

The real cost of moving isn’t the price — it’s retyping every link. So we read your existing page for you: paste your Linktree address in the editor and we pull your links, titles, thumbnails, profile and bio into a draft. Tested against real pages from 4 links up to 40, and from Solo.to.

Being straight about the rest: most other link-in-bio tools either build the page in your browser (Campsite, Bio.fm, Taplink — there is literally nothing on the server for us to read) or block automated readers outright (Beacons, Bio.link, Lnk.Bio). We tested real pages on each. For those, paste your links here and press Fetch on each one — we still pull the title and image for you, it just isn't one click.

We also copy the images onto your own page rather than pointing at Linktree’s CDN. Left there, they’re someone else’s files on someone else’s terms — delete the old account and your new page breaks. Nothing publishes until you press Go live, and anything we can’t read you can still add by hand.

When Linktree is the better choice

Genuinely, three cases. You want a free live page — theirs is free forever, ours is draft-free and pay-to-publish. You want a free page with no branding — our Evergreen keeps a small footer link (Pro removes it for $35/yr; theirs costs $222/yr). You want the whole creator suite — social scheduling, Instagram auto-replies, courses, an affiliate shop. We do one page, cheaply, forever. If you need the suite, buy the suite.

Who it’s for

Creators and musicians stacking DistroKid, Spotify, and a bio tool who don’t want another monthly bill. If you need courses, AutoDM, and a full funnel, a storefront like Stan may fit better — we’re the cheap permanent bio page.

vs Beacons & Carrd

Beacons is a creator OS (bio + store + email + media kit) with monthly plans and seller fees on lower tiers. Carrd is a flexible one-page site builder (~$19/yr) if you want to design every layout yourself. perma.bio sits in between: a ready link stack with a locked annual price, custom domain included, and Pro in-page checkout at 0% platform fee — without building a site from scratch.
