Five tools, three questions that decide the bill: what the cheapest paid plan costs, what it costs to put the page on a domain you own, and what it costs to sell without the platform taking a cut.
Every figure below was read from the vendor’s own pricing page and is dated. Nothing here is quoted from a comparison site — including ours.
Prices are the annual-billing rate converted to a yearly total, in USD, as shown to a US visitor on 1 August 2026. Several of these vendors price by region. Card processing fees (Stripe or equivalent) apply on top at every vendor here, perma.bio included — “0% platform fee” never means “free to take money”. We are one of the five, so read the concessions underneath: they are the honest part.
| Tool | Free plan publishes? | Cheapest paid | Cheapest with custom domain | Selling at 0% platform fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| perma.bio | No — draft & preview only | $15/yr | $15/yr — included | $35/yr |
| Lnk.Bio | Yes | $9.99 one-time | $39.99/yr add-on, sold separately | n/a |
| Carrd | Limited — 3 sites, no domain | $9/yr | $19/yr (Pro Standard) | n/a — no native store |
| Beacons | Yes — 9% seller fees | $8.33/mo annually — $100/yr | $100/yr (Creator) | $25/mo annually — $300/yr |
| Linktree | Yes — 9% on Starter | $10/mo annually — $120/yr | Paid tiers | $46.50/mo annually — $558/yr |
Sources, all read 1 August 2026: linktr.ee/s/pricing · beacons.ai/i/pricing · lnk.bio/custom-domain · carrd.co/pro. Lnk.Bio’s one-time plan prices are the one figure here we have not confirmed on their own pricing page, so treat that cell as indicative. We re-check these against each vendor’s own page rather than against other comparison sites. If you find one that has moved, tell us and we’ll fix it — a wrong price about a competitor is worse than no page at all.
Selling from your page with no platform cut: $35/yr here, $300/yr at Beacons, $558/yr at Linktree. Below their top tiers both charge 9% of what you sell. On a $2,000 year that 9% is $180 — more than five years of perma.bio Pro.
Pricing tables miss this, so we opened a real published page on each one (1 August 2026) and looked. Beacons put a fixed “Try for free!” bar along the bottom of the creator’s page — an advertisement for Beacons, on someone else’s page. Bio.link and Linktree free tiers carry a logo. Ours is one line of small text in the footer, and Pro removes it for $35/yr — against the $222/yr Linktree charges to remove theirs.
The other thing we noticed: on the pages we looked at, none of the three showed an icon next to each link — just stacks of identical text buttons. Every perma.bio link carries the destination’s own favicon, which is the difference between scanning a page and reading it. See the demo.
One page each, on one day — Beacons’ bar may not appear on every tier, and the Linktree page we opened was a paid account, so its lack of branding is bought rather than standard. We’re telling you what we saw, not what always happens.
Lnk.Bio — if you don’t need a custom domain, they win outright: a free
tier and a $9.99 one-time plan against our $15 every year. Buy theirs.
Beacons — a whole creator business: store, courses, email, media kit, IG automation,
AI tools. If you want that suite, $100/yr is not expensive, it’s a different product.
Linktree — brand recognition with non-technical audiences, and the most polished
onboarding in the category.
Carrd — ten sites and total layout freedom for $19. If you want to design it
yourself, that dollar over us is well spent.
All three of Linktree, Beacons and Lnk.Bio publish a live page for free.
We don’t. That is the single biggest reason to not choose perma.bio.
One page, on a domain you own, at a price that doesn’t move, from people who will let you download the whole thing as a file and walk away. If you sell anything at all, Pro at $35/yr is the cheapest 0%-platform-fee selling in this table by a factor of eight. If you want a free page or a creator suite, buy one of the others — they’re listed above with links.
